The city of Long Beach runs free outdoor concerts on the boardwalk every Thursday in August. Stage is mid-boardwalk near Riverside Blvd; bring a beach chair or blanket; sound carries down the boardwalk in both directions.
The play:
- LIRR direct from Penn → Long Beach (50 min)
- Arrive 6 PM, walk the boardwalk, find a spot near the stage
- Stay through sunset (~7:45 PM in August)
- Dinner on the boardwalk or West End strip after
- Last LIRR back to Penn 11:38 PM
