Frequently asked
Will paying guarantee I get covered editorially?
No. Featured and Premium listings guarantee placement in our directory and homepage carousel — they do not guarantee editorial coverage in our newsletter or guides. Editorial coverage is at the discretion of The Editors, based on quality and audience fit. We have a structural firewall between editorial and business; the Editors don't see who has paid for featured placement when planning coverage. See our Editorial Policy.
What if my event is cancelled or postponed?
We update the event status (cancelled / postponed / rescheduled) on the page automatically when we detect the change, or you can email [email protected]. Featured fees are refunded if the event is cancelled with more than 7 days notice.
Can I run a Featured campaign for a recurring weekly event?
Yes. We can configure the Featured tier as a 30-day or 90-day campaign for recurring events (e.g., a weekly farmer's market or a monthly concert series). Email [email protected] for custom recurring rates.
What about newsletter sponsorships?
We offer dedicated newsletter sponsorship slots ($150-300/issue depending on send volume) for partners who want exclusive placement in our Thursday newsletter. These are separate from Featured/Premium listings and are negotiated 1:1. Email [email protected].
Do you support nonprofits or community groups?
Yes. Most nonprofit and community-group events qualify for free Standard listings. For ticketed nonprofit fundraisers where you'd like Featured placement, email us — we offer a 50% discount for verified 501(c)(3) organizations.
Can I cancel a Featured campaign early?
Featured campaigns can be cancelled with a prorated refund for the unused days. Premium campaigns are non-refundable once the homepage carousel placement begins, since that's inventory that can't be resold mid-week.
