Mulcahy's Pub & Concert Hall
Mulcahy's is Long Island's most consistent year-round live-music venue — concert hall in the back, pub in the front, Tuesday Latin Night weekly, touring shows on weekends. The crowd is real, the sound is good, the cover is reasonable.
Mulcahy’s is the year-round live-music anchor for the South Shore. Two rooms: pub up front (open evenings, walk-in friendly), concert hall in the back (ticketed, 800 cap). The booking ranges from touring acts (Saturday nights), regional bands (Fridays), and weekly Latin Tuesday — which is the single most consistent Latin night on Long Island.
Two rooms, one venue
The pub — front of house. Walk-in friendly, full menu, sports on TVs. Where the locals are.
The concert hall — back, separate entrance most nights. 800-cap, GA floor, no seats except the back risers. Sound rig is legitimately good for a 800-cap room.
Weekly events worth knowing
- Tuesday — Latin Night (9 PM lessons, 10 PM DJ, $15 cash at the door). Long Island’s only consistent weekly Latin.
- Friday — Local + Tribute bands (typically $20-30)
- Saturday — Touring acts ($25-45, varies)
- Sunday — Acoustic / open mic (free)
Practical
- 21+ in the concert hall, all ages in the pub
- Cash and card both work but cash bar is faster
- Smart casual dress; Tuesday Latin is the dressiest night
